This is our favorite meal for a cold winter day. It is very hearty yet surprisingly sweet. Load up the crockpot and enjoy for several days because this recipe makes a ton of servings.
In a skillet, brown your ground beef, bison or venison and the diced onions. Drain and put in the crock pot.
Cook the bacon and then crumble it. Add bacon and drippings to the crock pot.
Drain the white and red/kidney beans and add them, along with the entire cans of pork and beans, to the crock pot.
Finally, add molasses, brown sugar, mustard, and BBQ sauce to the crock pot and stir.
Cook on low for 8 hours (4 hours on high if you are in a hurry). Stir and sample often.
